When Trump was in and the NYSE exploded in rapture at the first pro-business, pro- freedom president in a while, my pals were rejoicing over their 401ks and how they were finally moving upwards.
But I felt a chill wind. We’ve been here before, I thought. Wait till the Big Boys hear that we’re doing well. They will put an end to it, like they always do. And so they did. The puppet(s) of the Redistributionist Class, the Great Climate Change Class, gobbled up more of our freedoms, and put a stop to all that.
That’s ours, they said.
Wish I could just wake up and it not be true / But it is, oh, it is.
By now over 21 million of us have listened to Oliver Anthony sing his heart and soul out in “Rich Men North of Richmond” on social media. At first I thought…good song. Then I listened to it a few more times and read the lyrics. It’s more than a good song. Watch this great mix of people reacting to this song, by Matt Orfalea.
Oliver’s song has roused something in us. I think it’s brotherhood. I think it might be love. And it has united our American souls, when we least expected it.
